The Frogs were rearing to go after shaking out the rust last game. They had extra motivation facing their rivals, the Sharks. Not wanting to repeat the embarrassing loss against this team, the Frogs came out strong and defeated the Sharks by a score of 4-1. Unfortunately they were unable to prevent their former player, now labelled traitor from scoring the lone goal against them. In an extraordinarily odd play, his shot ricochet on both of M. Tasse's ankles before taking to the air to fly above goaltender J-M Roy's head, hit the crossbar and fall directly into the net. Some fans said magic was involved comparing the incident to the magic of the "glowing" pucks of the late 1990s.
The game was overshadowed by the tragedy on the ice when Frogs power forward P. Letendre taking a nasty fall after skating at full speed in a heated battle for the puck. Play stopped for a few minutes before he skated to the bench and eventually back to the dressing room. After undergoing medical test, the injury was revealed - a broken vertebrae and a chipped vertebrae. Emergency surgery was scheduled and successfully managed to repair the injury although recovery will be a very long process. On behalf of the Frogs and all hockey fans, we wish you a good and speedy recovery. The team will miss you on the ice and in the dressing room.
