The Frogs bounced back to claim a 3 to 1 victory against the Trojans. This, after a poor start to the season in which the Frogs were trampled 8 to 2 against the mighty Shamrocks.
This bounce back was mainly due to the team having fielded its better players for the second match and yielding recent call ups back to the ringette farm team. However, some have attributed this big turnaround in team performance to the team having more than four players show up and thus being able to "rest" between shifts. This "rest", in the author's opinion is highly overrated. When interviewed, the management staff expressed their surprise at the poor quality of call-ups coming from the ringette team. As some of you may recall, R. McDermott, now a star player on the team, has his origins as a ringette team call-up. The staff was therefore expecting the quality of players to be significantly superior than what was observed and have concluded that players from the farm team called "div 10" are not yet to the level of playing with the Frogs.
The Frog's next game, scheduled tomorrow, will have them play against a former teammate who some call a traitor for switching teams to play with his brother-in-law. It is sure to be an exceptionally heated and exciting game. Game results will be posted as soon as they are available.
