Welcome to the Beginner's Corner!

If you have never skated before or if you are just starting and could use some pointers, then this is the place for you! Playing hockey can be challenging, it takes coordination, strength and endurance, but it's also a good exercise and a lot of fun to play! This section of THoR is a repository for useful information for people just starting in hockey. It contains, among other things, How-To's, off-ice exercises and drills that will enable you to become a full fledged hockey player. Also the basic rules of hockey are explained, like icing, off-side and some of the different penalties.

Good luck with your learning! Hopefully you get to enjoy hockey as much as we do!
