This drill will practise the goaltender's basic puck stopping skills. More specifically when a rebound is given after a low shot.

The goaltender starts at the top of his crease with the shooter in the high slot. The shooter first shoots a low shot and the goaltender must use the butterfly or half-butterfly to make the save. This is followed immediately by a high shot to the glove side and a high shot to the blocker side simulating a rebound.

Note: The goaltender should be in the butterfly/half-butterfly while stopping both high shots, if this is not the case, reduce the time between shots.
